Mr Kang was both my consultant and surgeon in a recent operation to repair a broken collarbone (ORIF). He clearly explained my options, both operative and non-operative, and the benefits and risks of each enabling me to reach an informed decision. The operation went very smoothly, great job by Mr Kang and the team at Addenbrookes, and with neat suturing. Post-operative reviews have been straightforward and timely. Strongly recommended.

In September of this year (2014), I had an operation on my shoulder after many years of pain. Not good at only 39 years old! Before the above, I met Doctor Kang for a consultation in the August. After being told by NHS doctors that there was no operation for my problem, it was obvious that Dr Kang was a specialist, as he walked/talked me through my condition, and what he could do for me. He immediately put me at ease and filled me with confidence in his total ability. I was so very impressed. Having the actual surgeon that was going to perform the operation also being the consultant too was comforting and amazing. The operation was a total success, and I could not have been cared for any better at the Spire Hospital in Cambridge by Doctor Kang and his incredible team there. I had suffered pain in my right shoulder for about Two years, prior to being referred to Mr Kang. From my initial consultation, surgery and through to recovery, Mr. Kang explained everything in a very kind, reassuring and extremely professional manner, putting me at ease. Following the consultation, I agreed to surgery which was organised very quickly. This has proved to be very successful. Prior to surgery, my use of the shoulder was very restricted. Some Six months later I was virtually back to normal usage and 95% pain free. Having to carry all the load for the past Two years, my left shoulder is now also causing me problems. At my follow up appointment, Mr. Kang organised a scan on the left shoulder, with a view to treatment. Should this also require surgery, I would have no hesitation in going ahead with it. I cannot thank Mr. Kang and his team enough for their kindness and the excellent treatment I received. Second to none.

Mr kang listened and gave very helpful and thorough advice before my right shoulder replacement operation. He gave all the pro's and cons regarding the surgery in a very informative and caring way allowing us time to ask any questions we had and to give as detailed answers as were needed. On the day of surgery he came to see me before the operation he was very supportive with that relaxing smile he has!! and again after recovery. The operation went better than I could have ever expected his needlework is second to none and people remark on what is in fact a very small scar (much smaller and unobtrusive than was expected), and its location virtually hidden by a skin fold. Unfortunately I will need my left shoulder replacing before the end of the year and I will have no hesitation in being Mr Kang patient and confident that the outcome will be as brilliant in his more than capable hands.

I was treated by Mr Kang at Spire Cambridge hospital having been referred by NHS for a long standing shoulder problem. I met Mr Kang who was very pleasant and helpful and fully explained the options available to me including surgery. Having chosen surgery I was admitted for an operation a few weeks later. I was given a range of dates to suit my own diary. On the day of the operation Mr Kang met me and explained the operation detail before I went down for surgery. After recovery I was discharged same day. The operation has been a full success and I was able to drive again within the week. I have since met Mr Kang again for a final consultation and as before he was very pleasant and we were both pleased with the recovery and success of the operation. I would totally trust Mr Kang if I ever have the need to visit him again and would highly recommend him to anyone else.
